Trailerable Crane Barge

In the Spring of 2010 JLS Marine, Inc. custom built its first new 28' aluminum crane barge and a custom built aluminum barge trailer to expand their services to their customers. This custom built barge is on a trailer to serve customers thoughout the entire state of Illinois. The new aluminum barge features a knuckle boom crane with four hydraulic extensions capable of reaching over 27' and a lifting capacity of 2100 lbs.

The addition of the barge was such a huge success we have since purchased a larger, trailerable, aluminum barge to further expand our service offerings. The new barge is larger with more lifting capacity and reach than our first Aluminum Barge. Just a few of the services we offer:

Replacement of non-encapsulated foam floatation to encapsulated foam floatation as docks age is important in maintaining the snow load capacity of floating docks. As these commercial and residential docks age, the foam brakes away significantly reducing the buoyancy required to keep docks floating. Many lakes throughout the Midwest are requiring marinas and residential dock owners to convert to encapsulated foam dock floatation from exposed white and blue foam floatation. There are reports that non-encapsulated foam floatation materials that has been broken away or has been discarded from boat docks has been the largest source of man-made debris in their lakes. JLS Marine, Inc. has significant experience in both residential and commercial dock foam replacement. Commercial and residential references are available upon request.

JLS Marine, Inc. offers underwater recovery services for boats, jet skis, boat lifts, boat docks, tree branches/debris, or other structure that needs raised and removed. It is important to get boats and jet skis removed in a timely manner to reduce the environmental impact from contaminants and to eliminate further damage to the watercraft.
