Kasco de-icers will soon be celebrating 50 years of industry leading excellence. Known throughout the world for their quality, durability and effectiveness, the Kasco D-Series de-icer became a staple of the industry by tackling some fiercely challenging applications; none more well known than the outstanding performance to save trapped whales in Barrow, Alaska that inspired the major motion picture, “Big Miracle.” Today, units are installed around the world and continue to provide the best performance in ice prevention and property protection.

By moving large volumes of warm, bottom water to the surface, Kasco de-icers eliminate and prevent ice formation around boats, docks, pilings, bulk heads, or any other property you need protected from damaging ice formation. Kasco’s unique design provides superior flow and excellent energy efficiency to solve your de-icing needs in a cost effective manner.

De-Icers are available in ½, ¾, and 1HP sizes and available in 120V (60 Hz), 240V (60 Hz), or 220V (50 Hz) power configurations to fit a variety of installations and applications. Each de-icer includes two 20 ft. (6m) suspension ropes for suspension installation.

Optional mounting systems include the Universal Dock Mount, Industrial Dock Mount, and Horizontal Float. Thermostat and timer controllers are also available to help you save power and improve your de-icer’s performance.

Mounting Options

Suspended Operation

Kasco de-icers come complete for suspended operation from a dock or boat in either a vertical or angled position. An angled position produces an elongated pattern of agitated water, while a vertical position produced a circular pattern. Easily adjust the angle of suspension by simply looping one suspension rope back one or two bars on the propeller cage.

Universal Dock Mount

Kasco’s universal dock mount utilizes durable, composite mounting hardware accompanied by a corrosion-resistant stainless steel pipe (pipe is customer supplied) making it a great choice for docks, piers, marinas and other waterfront property. Utilizing its unique design, you can easily change the de-icer’s angle, depth and position.

Industrial Dock Mount

Kasco’s heavy-duty dock mount is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel mounting hardware accompanied by a stainless steel pipe (pipe is customer supplied). This allows it to withstand the demanding environments of industrial or harsh applications. Utilizing its unique design, you can easily change the de-icer’s angle, depth and position.

C-10

The C-10 thermostat controller is an inexpensive way to control the operation of your de-icer. The C-10 uses an air temperature thermostat to turn the de-icer on when the temperature drops below a set point that you decide. One C-10 controls one 120V de-icer.

C-20

The C-20 time and temperature controller allows you to determine at what air temperature AND time of day the de-icer turns on by using both an air temperature controller and timer clock. One C-20 will control one 120V de-icer.
